This past Saturday was a real treat. The town had it's annual Christmas parade and several of the ladies at church worked very hard putting together our church's 'float'. Instead of riding through town as usual, some of our church members rode camels and a donkey! It was wonderful to behold. Kids and adults alike were in awe of the camels. Thanks so much to Sherry Janes, Gay Kattel, and the Igniting Ministry Team for making it happen. The costumes were amazing and the camels were so good! I remember Noel's name, but unfortunately have forgotten the other two camels and donkey's names. (I'll update if I remember later.) I love this town and the strong community feel here. I hope you all enjoy the images as much as I enjoyed taking them. And remeber, wise men seek Him still!

This really got to me!
Having been married to an Air Force Sergeant (no longer on active duty) who was in the Gulf War, I can relate to how these guys feel. I am amazed at how often these folks are portrayed as 'intellectually-impaired'. The VAST majority of our military forces are smart, magnanimous, brave individuals who give so much of themselves to protect our nation. I, personally, say 'thanks for all you do' as often as I can! Please don't fall for the idea that just because someone didn't go to college means that they aren't smart. Ironically, you'd be proving yourself ignorant.
